2D ANIMATION

Adobe Animate, Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop

Creature Paralax Forest Loop GIF

Pencil Test walk cycle done in Adobe Animate. All the colors you see are different layers.

Toon Boom Harmony

A very rough pencil test of one of my side projects in Toon Boom Harmony. I only get the occasional tidbit of free time to work on this so it'll be a while until it's done. The blue puppet you see here is going to be used as an animation guide that will be deleted when the hand-drawn line work is done. I only gave the puppet one finger because I don't plan to use a guide for drawing the hands.

Pencil on Paper with Adobe After Effects and Premiere

Gingerbread Boy is a 49-second video completed in 2016. It is based on one of my poems of the same name included in my collection of poetry, A Raven in the Looking Glass. It was drawn in pencil, then photographed on a down shooter using Dragonframe software. The images were manipulated and composited in Adobe After Effects and compiled in Adobe Premiere.

3D ANIMATION

Cinema 4D and Adobe After Effects

In this screen capture of the Cinema 4D viewport window you can see the rendered frame at the top left. The bubbles and the puppet in the background frame are visible, but the CG character model is not. It is only there to occupy space for the emitted bubbles to go around.

Rendered C4D bubbles ready to be composited with the stop-motion elements

The final composition for the dream sequence in my film Seed in the Sand, done in Adobe After Effects and Premiere

3D Scanner, Cinema 4D, and After Effects

This video was created to be used for a monitor screen in a retro-futuristic body scanning machine gone terribly wrong in Benjamin Capps’ award winning 2019 film CIVET using a 3D scanner, Cinema 4D, and After Effects.

WARNING: This video may trigger seizures for people with photosensitive epilepsy.

Maya

My first computer animated film done while learning Maya. Short, very short.
